St. John’s Lutheran makes backpacks for kids in need

This group from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Prairie du Sac just completed their annual backpack project for needy children who cannot afford backpacks and school supplies. Each backpack contains 4 spiral notebooks, scissors, crayons, ruler, eraser, pencil sharpener, 5 pens and 5 pencils. The backpacks are packed in shipping boxes and forwarded to Lutheran World Relief where they are distributed to areas where there is the most need. St. John’s packed 263 backpacks this year, breaking their old record of 243.
