Local Veterans Day events to commemorate service members

Mickelsons-Martin American Legion Post 313 will Honor 30 additional Veterans to be added to the Honor Wall in Black Earth’s Veteran’s Park on Nov. 11 at 11:11 a.m. There will be a salute to Veterans along with the reading of their names being added to the Honor Wall. Family and friends are welcome.

There will be a ceremony in the Wisconsin Heights High School gymnasium at 9:30 a.m.

Sauk City American Legion Kuoni-Reuter Post 167 and Sauk Prairie Veterans of Foreign Wars Lachmund-Cramer Post 7694 will jointly conduct a community Veterans Day Ceremony Monday, Nov. 11 at the Sauk Prairie Area Veterans Memorial in Sauk City, across from Hooverson Funeral Home, at 10:45 a.m.

A public Veterans Day Commemoration will begin at 8:30 a.m., at the Sauk Prairie Grand Avenue Elementary School Gymnasium. The speaker will be Sauk Prairie Veteran of Foreign Wars Commander Kevin Krohn.

A second Veterans Day Ceremony to be conducted by Sauk City American Legion and Sauk Prairie Veterans of Foreign Wars will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Pines Assisted Living in for veterans, residents and guests.

An afternoon Veterans Day Ceremony will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. for veterans, residents and guests of Maplewood of Sauk Prairie.
