A woman on a mission to marry a wealthy half-a-millionaire uses her incredible matchmaking skills to help everyone she meets find love. That’s right folks, she is someone I think you should meet. It’s just about time for you to say, “Hello” to Dolly Levi, the meddling matchmaker, and star of “Hello Dolly!”

The Wisconsin Heights High School Drama Club’s latest production is the musical “Hello, Dolly!” With heartfelt songs and tunes that won’t leave your ear until next year, it is going to be a magical weekend for anyone lucky enough to catch it.

And who would be better to tell you about this stupendous production than those performing in it? Gwen Childs, who plays the eccentric heiress Ernestina Money, said, “I’m really excited about seeing all of our hard work come together and getting to show it to the community.”

Dylan Gee, playing the adventurous and enthusiastic Cornelius Hackl, was asked what his favorite part about being in the musical was. He answered, “I think that everyone in the musical becomes good friends, and that it is nice to have a goal to work towards with people you have fun with.”

When asked what this musical meant to her, Emma Schaefer, playing the titular Dolly Levi, said, “That’s a good question. It’s not really specific to Hello, Dolly! but all of the shows mean family to me. The people in Drama Club are honestly some of the best people I know and getting the opportunity to do something I love with such funny, great people is an amazing experience.”

“Hello, Dolly!” is sure to be something you don’t want to miss. The cast, crew, and directors have put a countless amount of hard work into pulling this production off. You can even see yours truly dancing and singing on stage December 20th and in the afternoon on the 21st. The night of December 21st and the following afternoon, however, you can see me playing Horace Vandergelder, the angry and stubborn half-a-millionaire that Dolly has her eyes set upon. I speak for the entire production team when I say it is an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to see you here.

“Hello, Dolly!” opens on Dec. 20 at 7 p.m, with performances following on Dec. 21at 2  p.m. and 7 p.m., and Dec. 22 at 2 p.m.
