State residents have nine months to get Real ID for air travel

Citizens will need to have an appropriate ID for domestic air travel or to enter federal buildings or military bases later this year.

Real ID takes effect Oct. 1 this year, and the Wisconsin DMV is urging motorists to enroll before the law changes.
