Community members buy custom pottery at 6:8’s SOUPer Bowl

On Sunday, January 26, 2020 The SOUPer Bowl was held at 6:8. Community members purchased one of kind bowls made by the Sauk Prairie Pottery Students and Teachers. The bowls were put to use by tasting 4 different homemade soups made by local chefs and community members. Participants learned about the Circles of Sauk Prairie initiative: to reduce poverty in Sauk Prairie by 10% in 10 years. The SOUPer Bowl was organized by NHS member and Secretary Claudia Miller, a senior at Sauk Prairie High School. Claudia’s idea for her NHS service project raised funds to cover the cost for one family to participate in the program. The money raised was matched by a generous business donation. Students, the teachers, the cooks, and the 6:8 Organization are commended for their assistance in making this event a success. Pictured is Claudia Miller with the donated bowls.
