Wisconsin Heights School District
March 19, 2020
Vanguard Families,
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding in the last seven days. A week ago, we were still in school and bracing for the possibility of canceling/postponing non-essential activities. Now, we know that we will be out of school at least until the second week of April. It truly has been a whirlwind experience for all of us. We are blessed to have such a supportive community.
Recently Governor Evers declared that Wisconsin schools would be closed “indefinitely.” You may ask, what does this mean? After consulting with colleagues, our interpretation of this statement is “until further notice.” While we were initially told the closure would last until April 6, it is safe to say it will be extended past this point. But, as of today, we do not know how long it will last. Rest assured, as details become more precise, we will share additional communication.
