Flanagan named Optimist Middle Level Leader for the month of November

Ava Flanagan is the Optimist Sauk Prairie Middle Level Leader for November. She is an eighth grader and the daughter of Melissa Kropp and Gregory Flanagan. She was nominated by her core team of teachers.  ”When our team was tasked with nominating a Middle Level Leader, Ava was a student that came to mind immediately. From the very first day of school, she has been hard-working, responsible, and kind to everyone around her. She regularly checks in with teachers, even when she’s learning at home, to make sure she is completing her work to the highest quality possible. She is also a student we can always rely on to help her peers as well. When our team got a new student, she was the first to volunteer to share her work with that student so that the new student could get up to speed. She is also one of the first students to help with daily class operations, even without a teacher needing to ask. Ava leads by example and truly lives by the values we have at Sauk Prairie Middle School to “Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Safe and Be Resourceful”, said her teachers. Ava is involved in dance and swim team outside of school. In the future, she hopes to attend the University of Minnesota to study Medicine.
