Recovery efforts continue for man who drowned on Wisconsin River

A vigil for Parker Kruse was held last Wednesday night at Wisconsin Riverside Resort as the search continues. Kruse lost his life on the Wisconsin River over the 4th of July weekend while helping in a rescue of another boater. Hundreds and hundreds of people gathered on the banks of the river to remember and commemorate Kruse even as efforts to recover him continued. Donations to the family and organizations that have helped in the search can be made at Heck’s Market on Highway 14, Arena, by leaving an envelope with Parker Kruse’s name on. In Spring Green, envelopes can be left at the Spring Green Area Chamber of Commerce office drop box, 208 N. Winsted Street.
