Bluegrass band coming live to River Arts

Live music returns to the Sauk Prairie River Arts Center (105-9th St, Prairie du Sac) on Saturday, September 18th at 7 p.m. with The Special Consensus! The Special Consensus is a bluegrass band that has achieved a contemporary sound in their four decades of performing, making their music a modern classic. The band is led by Greg Cahill, banjo player and recipient of the prestigious Distinguished Achievement Award from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), and includes Rick Faris (guitar), Dan Eubanks (bass) and Nate Burie (mandolin). Special Consensus has received five awards from the IBMA and two Grammy nominations. They are four talented vocalists and instrumentalists who follow their creative desires without straying too far from their bluegrass roots. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students and can be purchased online: www.riverartsinc.org, in person at River Arts on Water (590 Water Street, Prairie du Sac), or over the phone at 608-643-5215. Face masks required at the River Arts Center. This engagement is sponsored by Milwaukee Valve and supported by the Arts Midwest GIG Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional contributions from the Wisconsin Arts Board.
