Chamber Executive Director visits Optimists

August 17, the Sauk Prairie Optimist Club met in person and masked at the 6:8 Inc. building in Sauk City. Tywana German, Executive Director of the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce was the invited speaker. German spoke about the success of the Great Sauk State Bike Trail bike and Riverview Park. The Chamber has received overwhelmingly positive feedback and evidence that it has provided economic benefits. People have even moved to this area because of these projects, she said. She also talked about the positive effects of the construction at the high school and other projects such as the new Sauk City hotel that is under construction and the Culver’s Community Park. One of the concerns the Sauk Prairie Area still faces is the lack of affordable housing and its impact on the area’s labor supply. Tywana German, Executive Director of the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce, left, stands in front of the Optimist Creed banner with Bart Mauch, Sauk Prairie Optimist President, on August 17 after her presentation.
