Sauk City Depot at the corner of Polk and Monroe Streets at the Homecoming in 1907. This is an excursion train of 7 coaches carrying about 500 people that came in from Madison.

It was first reported in the Mazomanie Sickle of October 16, 1880 that the business men of Sauk City had pledged $20,000 to the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railway Company to ensure the building of a rail line from Mazomanie through Sauk City to Portage.
