Liesl Judge is Middle Level Leader for March

Liesl Judge is the Sauk Prairie Optimist Club’s Middle Level Leader for March. She is an eighth grader and the daughter of Richard and Stephanie Judge. She was honored at the Optimist meeting held on May 4, 2022. Liesl was nominated by her Spanish teacher, Kelly Miller. Senora Miller had this to say: “It is with great pleasure that the SPMS World Language Department congratulates Liesl (Elisa) Judge as the May Middle Level Leader. Liesl has been a Spanish student at SPMS for two years. Last year, Liesl was a student in the Spanish introductory course and this year Liesl has excelled in the Spanish 1 high school course. Liesl comes to Spanish class every day with a great attitude. She is always eager to learn. She takes the “toro” by the horns and is willing to be a partner to anyone in the class. She completes all of her daily work with accuracy and has outstanding written exams. Liesl also does an exemplary job with the unit projects in Spanish class. She chooses to challenge herself and share her family and friends in her Flipgrids and her Google Slides presentations to the class. Most recently, she and her partner in Spanish 1 presented their “cookie store” to the class while speaking in the target language and learning about the art of bargaining. Liesl also received first place for eighth graders in the state world language postcard competition this year sponsored by Discover Languages and the Wisconsin Association of Foreign Language Teachers. Liesl’s postcard was exemplary and demonstrated her amazing work ethic, creativity and talent.” Outside of academic life, Liesl is also active in the community. Liesl keeps busy playing soccer for the Sauk Prairie Strikers while also being an active member of the Center Stage Dance Academy. Liesl also finds time to be a dance teacher and play tennis. In her spare time, Liesl does volunteer work at the Sauk Prairie Food Pantry.
