Sauk Prairie’s girls softball team wins playoff opener

A walk’s as good as a hit.

And a forfeit is as good as a win.

That’s how Sauk Prairie’s girls softball team felt after receiving a forfeit from Mauston in their WIAA Division 2 regional quarterfinal last Thursday. The seventh-seeded Eagles advanced to a regional semifinal Tuesday against second-seeded Reedsburg.
