Remembering Dr. Carlson


Dr. Haakon Carlson was the third physician partner at Prairie Clinic. He also helped to establish clinics in Black Earth and Lodi, was the first medical director for Sauk Prairie Ambulance, and founded the Good Neighbor Clinic in his retirement. The Good Neighbor Clinic was established in the 1990s as a primary care clinic to serve individuals without health insurance.

Sauk Prairie Healthcare lost a longtime friend, Dr. Haakon Carlson, on Friday, August 12.
