The state’s top election official has admitted that an “unfortunate mistake” by the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) caused an error on the upcoming fall ballots, depriving Independent candidate Douglas Alexander of his legal right to have a summary of his platform printed beneath his name, as required by law.
