Tribute to Veterans   On June 10, Monday, at Black Earth Veteran’s Memorial Park there will be a “Tribute to Area Veterans” celebration, honoring all Veterans. It’s a Salute to Veterans--Free meal for all Veterans. Meals and beverages available for public purchase. Serving from 5:30 p.m. until gone. The Iron Horse Cornet Band will play at 6:30 p.m., and according to Jim Schroeder will “present many great tunes and songs that the veterans and the public will remember and enjoy”  Bring lawn chairs.  The Black Earth American Legion Mickelsons-Martin Post 313 Color Guard will make a presentation of a Quilt of Valor to a legion member and a flag disposal ceremony will take place after the concert.   Museum at the Depot open   The Black Earth Historical Society’s Museum at the Depot is open for the season. The Museum is open Sundays and summer holidays from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. until the last Sunday in September. As always, there is no admission fee. If you have not visited the museum in a couple of years, you will find that most displays have been replaced or added to.
