On May 15, the Sauk Prairie Optimist Club hosted a congratulatory breakfast for the Sauk Prairie School District 2024 retirees who could attend at the River Arts Center Gallery, attached to Sauk Prairie High School.
After a delicious breakfast made by the High School kitchen staff, Optimist President Cliff Thompson welcomed all, and then turned the floor over to District Superintendent Jeff Wright to speak about the retirees present, followed by their respective administrators. In the background, a slideshow created by Melissa Sumwalt, Administrative Assistant to Wright, played photos of the retirees. As each retiree present was honored, administrators shared why they would be missed. After the presentations, a group picture was taken.
The Club was once again honored to be able to recognize the SPSD retirees! Decorations and gifts for the retirees were created by Optimist member Diane Shaw and arrangements for the breakfast meeting were made by member Ellen Paul.
