Sauk Prairie High School winter sports meeting

 

There will be a High School winter sports meeting at Sauk Prairie High School on October 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the main gym. 

St. Vincent de Paul Sauk Prairie/Roxbury donate to food pantry


On September 25th St. Vincent de Paul of Sauk Prairie/Roxbury presented a check in the amount of $6,000 to the Sauk Prairie Area Food Pantry to help purchase commodities such as milk and meat for food pantry clients. St. Vincent de Paul of Sauk Prairie/Roxbury is grateful for the care and hard work that the Sauk Prairie Area Food Pantry puts forth to provide food to their clients. Free Congregation of Sauk County awards Mission in Motion funds


On October 3rd, the Free Congregation of Sauk County awarded $7,750 from their Mission in Motion program. One of the missions of the Free Congregation is “to create opportunities for group action and service related to our mission, values, and concerns” both locally and in the world as whole. The Free Congregation of Sauk County is a Unitarian Universalist fellowship and is the only Free Thinkers congregation remaining in the world. Sauk Prairie Optimists hold Annual meeting, elect officers


The Sauk Prairie Optimist Club held an Installation and Annual Meeting on November 4. The 2023-24 budget was passed and new President Cliff Thompson addressed those gathered. Good Neighbor Clinic receives funding from Compeer Financial


Compeer Financial Fund for Rural America, the giving program of the Farm Credit Cooperative, announced recently that the Good Neighbor Clinic of Sauk Prairie, was one of the 35 recipients who were granted funding this year. Since its establishment in 2018, the Fund has awarded 402 General Use Grants to community organizations, totaling over $2.3 million. The General Use Grant Program makes a difference in the communities where Compeer Financial clients and team members reside and work, reflecting their commitment to enriching agriculture and rural America. The Good Neighbor Clinic will be using the funding to support the diabetic clinic and occasional transportation needs. Sauk County Land Resources poster competition

Sauk County Land Resources and Environment will be participating in the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) Conservation Awareness Poster competition this again year. This contest is open to all Sauk County public, private, and home-schooled students in grades K-12.

Sauk Prairie Healthcare given Proclamation by local officials

State Representative Dave Considine recently presented Sauk Prairie Healthcare CEO Shawn Lerch with a proclamation on behalf of himself and State Senator Dianne Hesselbein for 67 years of exceptional care and serving the healthcare needs of the region.

The Mazomanie Lions Club is sponsoring a viewing of the film “AngstXiety” at Base Camp Café, 18 Brodhead Street in downtown Mazomanie on Sunday, October 15th at 2:00 p.m. Most everyone and especially parents will be interested in the presentation.

In 2012, after a local 9-year-old boy and his mom attended a Feed My Starving Children event in Dodgeville, they were inspired to bring the event to Sauk Prairie.
