Chip Meister is once again seeking re-election as Sauk County Sheriff, but this time he has competition from two other candidates.

The Villages of Sauk City and Prairie du Sac are buying prime real estate together, and making a business arrangement with the Chamber of Commerce, as the land where the welcome center is located changes hands.

Sauk Prairie Police getting body cams

Within the next month, body cams will be coming to the Sauk Prairie Police Department. The Police Commission reviewed the new policies associated with the cams at their meeting earlier this month.

Northwest Dane Senior Services faces funding crunch from municipalities

Northwest Dane Senior Services provides essential care of the elderly in the northwestern Dane County area. Those services do not come without a cost, however, and NWDSS’ budget is a tight $300,000 a year. 20% of its budget comes from the support of municipalities.
