Duane Jeffrey Tvedt, age 67, died of a heart attack on January 20, 2024 at the home he shared with his fiancé in Indio, California.  He was born at Stoughton, Wisconsin on July 23, 1956, son of Lyle and Noreen (Anderson) Tvedt.  He grew up in Black Earth, Wisconsin and graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School in 1974.  

Sauk City--Frances Bierman, age 89, passed away on January 25, 2024 at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Lodi, WI.  Fran was born on November 8, 1934 in Prairie du Chien, WI.  She was the second child born to Frank Peter and Margaret Josephine (Panka) Pintz.  Fran grew up on the family farm with two sisters and a brother and held a lif

Troy Township/Blackhawk--Elaine Eleanore Wilhelm, age 99, passed away on January 24, 2024 at The Pines Assisted Living, in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. Elaine was born February 29, 1924, in Troy Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Clarence and Clara (Rieser) Walster.

Brian W. Zins, 59, of Sauk City, WI passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at his home. He was born on June 26, 1964, in Prairie du Sac, the son of Verlyn and Mary (Harrop) Zins. Brian attended Sauk Prairie High School and graduated in 1982. He enjoyed wrestling, showing cattle, FFA, and 4H in High School.

Arline Janet Carpenter, age 97, passed away Tuesday January 16, 2024, at home. She was born August 24, 1926, the daughter of Orville and Agnes (Bartnick) Bills. Arline was United in marriage to George S Carpenter on December 30, 1944.

Walter “Wally” John Endres, 89, passed away on January 14, 2024, at Maplewood Nursing Home with his family by his side. He was born in Roxbury on October 22, 1934, to Leonard and Lydia (Breunig) Endres. He lived and farmed there all his life until a storm in May 1998 destroyed his house and barn. 

Eleanor Irene “Penny” (Stoltz) Zajicek, age 95, passed away on January 7, 2024, at Maplewood Nursing home in Sauk City, WI.  Penny was born on July 16, 1928, in Richland County, WI, the daughter of Carl J. and Helen M. (Grover) Stoltz.  She attended Ithaca High School and on September 24, 1946 was married to Galen A. Zajicek. 

CROSS PLAINS – Patricia Ann Boehnen, age 75, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024. Pat was born on Feb. 18, 1948, in Elkhorn, Wis., to LeRoy and Jayne Bruce. Pat graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1966 and later from Madison Area Technical College with an R.N. degree in 1984.

Gary passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, after a lengthy illness. 

Gary was born to Leon (Fuzzy) and Caroline Fassbender on August 8, 1955. He enjoyed playing cards and fishing. He worked in the pallet industry for over 30 years. 

Denise (Dede) Miriam (Appleyard) Egan, 68, of Sauk City, WI passed away at her home with her husband of 50 years by her side after a 3 ½ year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born June 3, 1955 in Lansing, Michigan to Esmond (Carter) Appleyard, Jr. and Jacqueline (Buchanan) Appleyard.
