Marlene Francis Kirch, age 84, passed away peacefully at Maplewood Nursing Home, Sauk City on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023.  She was born May 3, 1939 to the late Frank and Loraine (Kelly) Raba.  She attended St.

Middleton/Black Earth/Cross Plains–Karen L. Esser passed away on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born on June 5, 1943, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Gordon and Jeanette (Reuter) LaBelle. She graduated from Sauk High School in 1961. She met the love of her life, Norman J.

Gloria Jean Accola, age 76 of Westfield, WI, formerly of Baraboo, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Edgewater Haven in Port Edwards, WI.  She was born on June 20, 1947 in Madison to George and Dorothy (Brunkow) Accola.

Madison/Menomonie/Mazomanie--Dorothy “Irene” Seston, age 98, passed away on Monday, Oct. 24, 2023, at Badger Prairie Health Care Center, Verona, Wis. She was born on Dec. 22, 1924, in Oregon, Wis., the daughter of Claude and Dorothy (Manson) Lyons.

Irene married her loving husband, Dean L. Seston, on June 10, 1944, in Oregon.

CROSS PLAINS - Cyril N. Virnig, age 88, of Cross Plains, Wis., passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at UW Hospital. He was born on Sept. 28, 1935, the son of Frank and Bernita (Beuthin) Virnig, in a brick building on Main Street in Cross Plains, at the harness and shoe shop formerly owned and operated by his grandfather.

Sauk Prairie--Donald A. Pickarts, age 94, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023 following a brief illness.  Donald was born February 6th, 1929 the son of Joseph and Lucille Pickarts of Sauk City, Wisconsin. On August 20th, 1954 Donald married Ruth (Beers) Pickarts; she preceded him in death on Apr.

Carol M Janney, of Sauk City, passed away at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie.  She was born in Prairie du Sac, WI in 1932, the daughter of Miles Meng and Pearl (Danuser) Meng.  She graduated from Prairie du Sac High School and went on to obtain a BS in Nursing.  She married Gordon Janney in September 1963; he preceded her in death in 2014.

Bernard “Dick” August Frey, age 96, passed away peacefully at University Hospital in Madison on Thursday, October 12, 2023. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was known for his work ethic and his tinkering on projects in his garage. He loved to hunt and fish.

Robert (Bob) Paul Kahn, age 90, of Northfield, MN, passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 27.
