Above the Line


The April Above the Line theme at Grand Avenue School was “Perseverance.” The students listed below received awards on Friday, April 21, from their classroom teacher or staff who felt that they are an individual that can persevere through different adversities in and out of the classroom. Last weekend for Sauk Prairie Plant Sale

A day of fun while running for Bridges Elementary School students during ‘Bolt’

Friday was the Bridges Bolt Fun Run, where kids sign up sponsors and then run around a track at Bridges Elementary. The funds raised are used for education enrichment, and have included in the past a climbing wall. It was a beautiful day and the Sauk City Fire Department had a ladder truck set up for the kids.

Sauk Prairie School District names new board president, hears from exchange students

The Sauk Prairie School Board elected new officers at their meeting on April 24. James Isaacson is the new school board president.

Heights courtyard getting a makeover

The little-used courtyard in the high school section of the Wisconsin Heights building will undergo a complete makeover thanks to a “collaborative effort of students, staff, and community.” That last phrase was the cover slide for tech ed teacher Kris Hopper’s presentation to the board at their meeting Monday, April 24.
