September Above The Line was “Caring”

Tower Rock students get musical

Students at Tower Rock in the Sauk Prairie School District got into the swing of things with musical instruments last week.

Sauk Prairie School District’s tax impact comes in lower than expected

Sauk Prairie School District’s tax rate will come in under projections made during the run-up to the new construction, coming in 25 cents lower than last year. The project levy for 2021-22 is $9.54 per $100,000 of assessed value. Over the past ten years the district has kept the levy stable, at around $10.

Sauk Prairie School District to use multiple protocols to determine masking, provides parents with weekly data on website

The Sauk Prairie School District voted to approve a masking rubric that has certain thresholds. District Superintendent Jeff Wright explained the process in an email to parents.

He explained the goals:

The Sauk Prairie School Board recently accepted a $40,000 donation from the Sauk Prairie Sports Boosters to help fund the stadium grandstand enclosure. Wisconsin Heights to require masks for Pre-K through 6, grades 7 through 12 are optional

The Wisconsin Heights School Board voted 5-2 to reinstate the use of masks this fall at their Aug. 9 meeting. Mike Wagner and Angie Wolf were the dissenting votes.
