“Eye-opening, inspirational, uplifting, strength-building, and challenging positive experience,” are just some of the words that have been used by Sauk Prairie Middle School seventh graders who have attended Leadership Day at Expeditions Unlimited. On September 28th, another group of future leaders experienced this challenging but fun day.
The Central Wisconsin Talented and Gifted Consortium sponsors several enrichment activities throughout the year to help meet the needs of exceptional students in the many areas of giftedness. These students were chosen for their leadership potential by a process which was completed last spring by their classroom teachers. The students pictured below joined participants from Montello, Reedsburg, Wisconsin Dells, Wild Rose, Poynette, Nekoosa, Fall River, and Adams Friendship in completing several challenge activities, led by the staff at Expeditions Unlimited. The challenges involved extensive planning, teamwork, and outside the box thinking.
Julie Breunig and Kathy Bruno, from the Sauk Prairie Schools Gifted and Talented Department organized this Leadership Day and accompanied the students.
