It was a busy start to last weekend with Sauk Prairie’s baseball team scheduled to play three games in a span of less than 24 hours.

Net gains

Sauk Prairie’s boys tennis won two of three meets last week and improved to 2-3 in dual matches this season.

Eagles off to sensational start

Katelyn Fishnick didn’t waste any time lighting up the scoreboard last Friday night.

The junior forward needed just 19 seconds to get the Sauk Prairie girls’ soccer team off and running when she blew past a defender and drilled a laser beam shot into the net from inside the goal box.

Eagles’ track teams finding their way

Two years.

That’s how long it had been for some Sauk Prairie track and field athletes since they competed in a meet.

That’s why last Tuesday was such an enjoyable day for the Eagles.

She’s one of the best players in the state.

And in case anyone forgot that, Katelyn Fishnick made sure to remind them last Friday.

Fishnick, a junior forward at Sauk Prairie, scored a pair of goals and powered the Eagles past Mount Horeb, 2-0, in the season-opener for both sides.

Sauk Prairie’s girls softball drops a pair

The Eagles managed just three hits against Beaver Dam and one hit against DeForest.
